From it was air, and whatever was condensed from the air was water, and whatever was condensed from the water was dust. The Air Corner sect said it is the origin, and whatever was condensed from it was fire. The Water Corner sect said it was the origin, and the Earth Corner sect said it is the origin, and the Origin sect said it was command. A fifth is not one of these four, and this is the one whom we have placed in the position of the king of the right, so our law of marriage has been pervaded by the most complete schools of thought, so that all schools of thought are included in it. [ The Theory of the Fifth Origin ] < p> And this doctrine, based on the fifth principle, is the correct one in our view, and it is called nature, for nature is one intelligible from which the pillar of fire and all the pillars appeared, so it is said that the pillar of fire is from nature what it is itself, and it is not correct for the total to be the same as the four, for some of the pillars are completely repulsive to the others, and some of them are repulsive to others in one matter. Like fire and water, they are repulsive in all aspects, so are air and earth. This is why God arranged them in existence in a wise order for the sake of transformations. If He made the repulsive adjacent to its repulsive, it would not have been transformed into it, and wisdom would be suspended. So He made the air next to the corner of fire, bringing heat between them, and making water next to the air, bringing between them moisture, and making earth next to water, and bringing between them cold. The impossible is a father and the impossible is a mother.
